New OECD Arrangement rules to apply from 15 July 2023
The new rules of the “Arrangement on Officially Supported Export Credits” (Arrangement) will come into force on 15 July 2023. The OECD has published the details on its website. These are still provisional, as not all internal processes of the member states have been fully completed yet.
The modernisation of the Arrangement is considered a milestone. During the negotiations, SERV pushed for the rules to be simplified and made more flexible in order to better accommodate the unique characteristics of individual transactions. This extra flexibility, together with the inclusion of new sectors in the Climate Change Sector Understanding (CCSU), will allow a greater number of climate-friendly projects to benefit from the more flexible conditions.
